Agave House

Agave House, a new restaurant and tequila bar in Mid City, New Orleans, approached us to create a mural for their grand opening. The owners envisioned a mural that would reflect the restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere, showcasing elements of Mexican culture and the bold spirit of agave. They wanted the mural to be a focal point in the space, but with a quick timeline and limited availability due to the timing of the restaurant’s opening. The challenge was to install the mural during the opening phase, while ensuring the project didn’t disrupt the flow of the restaurant or hinder seating capacity. To address this, we designed a space-efficient layout for the mural that allowed for full seating and customer traffic while safely setting up the project. The mural was planned to be installed in sections, allowing us to work incrementally without compromising the restaurant's operation.

Another challenge was ensuring the mural remained protected from the constant foot traffic and physical contact that’s typical in a busy dining environment. The mural had to withstand potential touches from hands, spills, and the everyday wear-and-tear of a high-traffic restaurant. We used a satin finish mural guard to seal the artwork, providing extra durability and protection from marks, smudges, and UV damage. The final result was a stunning mural that both enhanced the dining experience and became a conversation starter. It added a vibrant, cultural touch to Agave House, while still respecting the restaurant’s operations and the need for a seamless opening. The mural continues to serve as a bold centerpiece in the space, engaging guests and contributing to the restaurant's lively and welcoming atmosphere.
