Antone’s Famous Po-Boys

Antone’s Po’ Boys, a popular Texas-based restaurant known for its authentic po’ boys and Southern comfort food, wanted to enhance the outdoor patio of their Houston location with a mural that would engage millennials while still appealing to their diverse, multi-generational customer base. They envisioned a bright, bold, and modern design that celebrated local Houston culture and history, while reinforcing their brand identity. To bring this vision to life, we created a mural featuring iconic Houston landmarks, local street art, and elements of Texas culture, designed to capture the city’s dynamic energy. The vinyl medium was chosen for its ability to deliver vibrant, detailed artwork that would withstand the wear and tear of a high-traffic, outdoor environment.

The project was completed remotely in 10 days, with Sigma Grafix in Houston handling the printing and installation of the vinyl wrap. The mural was applied to a textured wall, which required special attention, but vinyl’s flexibility allowed for a smooth, seamless finish. Given the outdoor location, durability was key, so we used vehicle-grade vinyl with a tough, clear lamination layer that protects the mural from sun exposure, physical contact, and other elements. The result was a vibrant mural that quickly became a focal point of the patio, generating social media buzz and driving foot traffic. The vinyl has proven to be extremely durable, maintaining its vibrant colors and holding up to the demands of the busy restaurant environment, continuing to elevate Antone’s brand and enhance the guest experience.
